How do I fix this?
You can copy the content from that blog post to a new blog post — and delete the old one.
To copy the contents of the article:
- Click Blog posts.
- Click into the article:
- Then copy the contents:
To paste to a new article:
- From your shop admin, go to the Blog posts page.
- Click Add blog post.
- Paste the content you want to use into the new blog post's conent area.
- Save all of your changes.
The catch to using this method is that the new blog post will be stamped with today's date. If you're ok with this, then you're done!
I want to keep my old post, date included.
- From your shop admin, go to the Settings > Account page.
- Scroll down to the area entitled "Staff Members."
- Click on the Add staff member button.
- You can fill up those fields with whatever you'd like, and don't need to have that “staff member” accept the invitation.
- As soon as there are 2 staff accounts in your shop — account owner and a staff account — there's an Author drop-down when you edit any article.
- Click the Back to your admin button and go to the Blog posts page.
- Click on the article you want to publish.
- In the section entitled "Write your blog post" locate the Author field. A drop down menu should appear.
- Pick any name and click Save.
